Have you figured out how to get the most of Holiday Sales?
I'll be giving you some ideas, old and new on boosting
your sales for the fourth quarter this year in our
newsletters for the next couple of months.

Is a Mall Kiosk for You?
Operating a mall kiosk to increase holiday sales is not
unlike running a booth at a crafts fair. Several clients
have tried it. Some sucessful, and some not so sucessful.
Kiosks can provide a lucrative sales opportunity, Kiosks
can also have challenges and problems.
Shoppers often look at kiosks as a way to see what's new,
and perhaps a different selection of gifts during the
holiday season.
You'll probably have to sign a contract for November
and December, and pre-Thanksgiving sales are likely to be
slower than the real holiday sales. Sometimes it's a flat
rate, and other times it's a monthly fee plus a percentage
of sales over a negotiated amount. Prices also vary
depending on the mall's location and foot traffic.
Location, Location, Location...this is one of the critcal
factors. Be sure you choose a mall with customers who are
in your target market. And if you don't already know what
your target market is do some homework. It's important to
know the demogragphics of your potential clients. Try to
get your kiosk near one of the popular stores. Make sure
there's not a kiosk next to yours that sells the same
type of products.
Your kiosk display should focus on just one or two types
of products. By that I mean purses and bath and body.
Not purses, bath and body, sweatshirts, pictures, etc.
You want the shoppers to know in just a few seconds
what you are selling. Too much variety in the midst
of mall traffic...or a holiday gift show will be
counterproductive.
Can you handle the staffing for mall hours? Remember
you'll have to man that kiosk the same hours that the
mall is open..7 days a week, and maybe 12 hours a day.
Re-stocking can be a challenge, just like gift show,
because you have such limited space. Some clients
keep inventory in the parking lot in a trailer or van.
Security..In most malls security can be another problem.
It can be hard to keep your eyes on your merchandise
while talking with customers.
Have you checked out our predesigned logos? So many of
you have asked for just a simple label that we could
insert your name, brand or company, so now those are
available. You will find a downloadable price sheet
for label printing in the site index. We can print
as few as 50 label, and offer quantity discounts
for quantities as large as 3,000.
